All GOP Candidates Beat Dodd
U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd continues to get beaten by all three Republican candidates in the latest Quinnipiac Poll released Thursday. Dodd’s trustworthiness with the voters is also in the red zone, with a 52 percent thumbs down a little under a year before the 2010 Election. Only nine percent said they don’t know if he untrustworthy, meaning if that number were split, almost 6 in 10 respondents think he’s no good.
There was some other good news, with 48 percent of the polled saying they also disaproved of President Obama’s handling of the health care issue, a number certain to rise as the public becomes more aware of the disasterous details of the $1.3 trillion plan.
Overall, former Congressman Rob Simmons beats Dodd, 49-38 percent, former former Ambassador Thomas Foley, 47-40 and businesswoman Linda McMahon, the newest entrant into the Republican race, beats Dodd, 43 to 41.
